A Confident Smile Changes Everything
Dr. Shimanovsky combines cosmetic artistry with biocompatible materials for veneers that look completely natural.
True Cosmetic Artistry
Dr. Shimanovsky hand-designs each veneer for shape, color, and translucency that matches your face and personality.
Biocompatible & Metal-Free
Only high-grade porcelain and ceramic — no metals, no toxins. Materials that are safe for your body and resistant to staining for years to come.
Conservative & Gentle
Veneers preserve more of your natural tooth than crowns. Dr. Shimanovsky removes only a thin layer, keeping your healthy tooth structure intact.
Veneers May Be Right for You If…
Veneers solve a wide range of cosmetic concerns in as few as two visits.
Chipped or Cracked Teeth
Small chips and cracks that make you self-conscious about smiling or laughing.
Stubborn Discoloration
Stains that don't respond to whitening — from medications, genetics, or deep-set wear.
Uneven or Worn Teeth
Teeth that are slightly crooked, uneven in size, or show signs of wear over time.
Gaps Between Teeth
Small gaps you'd like to close without braces or a lengthy orthodontic process.
Your Veneer Smile in 4 Steps
From consultation to your new smile — here’s exactly what to expect.
1. Personalized Evaluation
Dr. Shimanovsky examines your teeth, gums, and bite to confirm veneers are the right fit. If they are, you'll discuss shape, shade, and goals together. If another option would serve you better, she'll say so honestly. Free consultation — no obligation.
2. Tooth Prep & Shade Matching
A very thin layer (~0.5mm) of tooth surface is removed to make room for the veneers — far less removal than a crown. Dr. Shimanovsky records the exact shade of your surrounding teeth so the lab can create a seamless match.
3. Impressions & Fabrication
A detailed impression of your prepared teeth is sent to the dental lab as the blueprint for your custom porcelain veneers. You'll wear comfortable temporaries while they're being crafted.
4. Fitting & Final Bonding
Your veneers are placed without permanent adhesive first — so you can see and approve the fit and aesthetics. Any minor adjustments are made chairside. Only when you're completely happy are they permanently bonded.

Most patients experience little to no discomfort. We use local anesthetic during the preparation appointment, and Dr. Shimanovsky is known for her gentle technique — patients with dental anxiety consistently report feeling at ease. Mild sensitivity after bonding is normal and typically fades within a few days.
No — veneers actually protect your teeth. Only a very thin layer (about 0.5mm) is removed from the front surface, far less than a crown requires. The porcelain shell bonds to your tooth, strengthening it and shielding it from further chips and cracks.
A crown covers the entire tooth and requires significantly more of your natural tooth to be removed. A veneer bonds only to the front surface — about 0.5mm of preparation — making it the more conservative choice when your tooth is structurally healthy and the goal is cosmetic. Dr. Shimanovsky will recommend the right option for each tooth at your consultation.
Yes. Porcelain is one of the most biocompatible materials used in dentistry — it’s well-tolerated by gum tissue and completely non-toxic. As a holistic, mercury-free practice, Dr. Shimanovsky specifically selects materials that are safe for your body as well as your smile.
With proper care — regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups — porcelain veneers typically last 15 to 20 years, and many last even longer. Dr. Shimanovsky uses high-quality porcelain that is extremely durable and more stain-resistant than natural teeth.
Porcelain veneers are highly stain-resistant, but if staining does occur over time, traditional teeth whitening won’t work on them — whitening products only penetrate natural tooth enamel. The solution is to replace the affected veneers. This is rare with high-quality porcelain, and daily care goes a long way in preventing it.
Absolutely — that’s Dr. Shimanovsky’s specialty. Each veneer is custom-designed to match the color, translucency, and shape of your natural teeth. You choose your desired shade and shape during the consultation, and the veneers are tried in before permanent bonding so there are no surprises.
Typically two to three visits over two to three weeks: an initial consultation, a preparation appointment (tooth shaping, impressions, and temporary veneers), and a final bonding visit for your permanent porcelain veneers.
